Recipients of Beti Weber Moskowitz Tzedakah Award

Beti embodied the meaning of tzedakah.  She was a righteous woman who held family and friends dear, while doing everything she could to make the world a better place for all.  Beti got involved in NCJW first in community service as a co-chair of the Interfaith Luncheon, then as a members of the Scholarship committee, as well as helping with the Back Snack program.  When she no longer worked in fundraising professionally, she turned her expertise to NCJW, working on grant writing and helping to keep the Council financially sound by serving as Treasurer.  And throughout several years of battling cancer, she never stopped volunteering and finding delight in the world.  NCJW Greater Kansas Cit Section, named our Tzedakah Award in memory of Beti, who passed away in August, 2016.

The Tzedakah Award is a local award presented to a current NCJW member or friend of NCJW for going above and beyond to support NCJW, Greater Kansas City Section.
