Johnson County Christmas Bureau Holiday Shop

“Johnson County Christmas Bureau offers a 9-day Holiday Shop during the month of December. All pre-qualified shopping guests receive an appointment. Shoppers are below 150% of the poverty level and reside in Johnson County, Kansas. The Holiday Shop is similar to a department store providing a unique shopping experience free of charge. Our Holiday Shop is the original pop-up. Each guest is assisted by a volunteer or personal shopping assistant.”

Volunteers will be accompanying shoppers (if over 16 years of age) or staff one of the many departments to keep inventory stocked and visible.  Just a few of the department examples are groceries, toys, personal care items, teen gifts, coats. A full list can be accessed via the above website link. Volunteers in departments ages 11-14 must be accompanied by an adult.
