Porter will share several of his experiences with gun violence including the death of his 16-year-old son. Porter grew up in the St. Louis area and now lives in the Kansas City area. He is an author, speaker, mentor, and journalist. Toriano currently is an opinion writer and editorial board member for The Kansas City Star.
