Some observers may be surprised to learn owning guns and supporting ways to curb gun violence often go hand-in-hand.

For example, research shows 85% of Americans support background checks for all gun purchases. That includes more than 80% of gun owners who also favor universal background checks for all gun sales, according to a recent NPR/Ipsos survey.

On April 29, GGS members share their perspectives on owning guns while at the same time supporting ways to make gun ownership safer. They’ll be joined by professionals in the field discussing various aspects of responsible gun ownership.
