Back To School Event – Fulfill Agency Orders/Agency Distribution

NCJW Office - 5311 W. 75th St. NCJW entrance is on the East side of the building. Please use this door to access the former Ohev sanctuary. (Same location as last year.)

Our 2023 Back to School Event will follow the same format as 2022. That is, instead of setting up and staffing a store for children to shop, we will instead fill backpacks based on requests from local agencies. We have found that this format allows us to support a greater number of families in need. We anticipate serving the back to school needs for 400 children this year!

This event is our most labor-intensive and we depend on volunteers (ages 16 and up) to transport, unpack and organize items from storage and fulfill orders that we receive from participating agencies. Approximately 125 volunteers will be essential to the success of this project. To accommodate our non-working and working members, there are some evening shifts available.
