Discussion Group: Women In Politics

5:00 pm — 7:00 pm

PLEXPOD WESTPORT ANNEX: 300 EAST 39TH ST, KANSAS CITY, MO 64111

NCJW has been invited to participate in this discussion.
United WE works to advance all women’s economic and civic leadership. Next month, we are partnering with American Public Square for an in-person event in Kansas City. American Public Square works to host civil, fact-based conversations in an effort to improve community and discourse. Because of your organization’s involvement in the field of women’s advancement and within our area, we’d like to extend a personal invitation for you and your members to join us for this important conversation.
The event will focus on barriers that discourage women from running for elected positions. Specifically, we’ll be talking about the current political climate and how it impacts women’s view on the possibilities within civic leadership. This topic is important and nuanced. The event will include a reception with refreshments, a presentation on United WE’s research, and a discussion group where you will have the opportunity to voice your perspective with others.
