January 27
Repro Shabbat
6:00 pm — 8:00 pm
Congregation B’nai Jehudah
Now more than ever, we cannot stand idly by and normalize our constitutional rights being taken away. Jewish tradition tells us to honor kavod habriot, the dignity of every human being. We act in support of access to safe and legal abortion care not in spite of our religion — but because of it.
National Council of Jewish Women is taking a moment to mark this “un-anniversary” of Roe with renewed resolve and commitment to a more inclusive and unstoppable Jewish movement for abortion justice. Together, we can build on the momentum for abortion access and reproductive freedom that we are seeing across the country.
To that end, we are gathering this Friday, January 27, 2023 at 6:00 at Congregation B’nai Jehudah for a Reproductive Rights Shabbat Service. The service will be women-lead, the sermon will be themed around reproduction rights and the majority of the music will have been written by women-identifying composers. We hope to see you there.
In addition to attending the service, there are other actions you can take. See our website (https://kansascity.
