November 3

Fidget Blankets

12:30 pm — 2:30 pm

JCC - Conference Room A

Come join in a fun new program on November 3rd at the JCC from 12:30-2:30. We will be making No Sew Fidget blankets for the Memory Care Residents at Village Shalom. We will be hand sewing tactile materials, buttons, zippers, bead, etc on to fleece material.  We will need people who are comfortable with sewing skills.  All materials will be provided. This is a family friendly program, children ( 5 and up) will be empowered to help tie the ends of the blankets together.

A fidget blanket is a lap-size blanket that provides tactile and sensory stimulation for people with restless hands.  They are often used for people with Alzheimer’s, dementia or other forms of cognitive decline.
